Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golzchenko said that the European Union (EU) adopted a political decision on sectoral economic sanctions against the state to enjoy its economy and create conditions for repetition of coup attempts. His words lead RIA Novosti.
at a meeting with the head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishoustin, he said that the Western countries are considered by the sectors of the Belarusian economy, which make a significant contribution to GDP.
“At the same time, I want to emphasize that at the same time they want to” bite “and Russia,” said Golzchenko. According to him, today the EU said that in the draft sanctuction package, the first for the ban will be the export of fertilizers and the transit of Russian gas through the republic. The politician believes that this is aimed at prohibiting the purchase of gas pipelines passing on Belarus, which belong to Russia.
Previously, Golzchenko threatened with Western countries with response sanctions, if they introduce restrictions on exporting goods from the republic. “We still look forward to the prudence of those who are in a hurry to pass the point of no return, we suggest sober up and think about how to get up on a slippery path of the economic war,” the prime minister added.
EU plans to introduce severe sanctions against Belarus, said Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuanian Mantas Adomenas. He explained that new restrictions can touch the petroleum products, fertilizers, cars and tractors. EU authorities can also limit the republic’s access to European technologies.
