Mintrost of Russia does not see the prerequisites for the introduction of the four-day working week in the country. However, the ministry is ready to consider proposals if they arrive. This was told by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov, writes TASS.
According to him, the department has not yet received the initiative, which would be “formed, justified,” where the need for a short-range week would be explained. According to Kotyakova, the remak can become a “sort of alternative” four days.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev stated that the four-day week could gradually introduce in most countries of the world. After that, a member of the Federation Council, the Deputy Challenge of the Social Policy Committee Valery Ryazansky allowed a reduction in the working week in Russia.
The four days without wage loss will lead to a reduction in power consumption and emissions from transport, British researchers from the Environmental Organization Platform London are confident. Researchers argue that the effect is similar as if the entire private fleet was removed from the roads of Great Britain – 27 million cars.
