Half prescribed after COVID-19 Americans worsened health

A new study conducted by scientists from Michigan Medicine showed that almost half of the patients hospitalized in the United States from March to April to April 2020 were discharged from hospitals in the worst state than it was during admission, reports Daily Mail.

For work, experts analysts analyzed 300 patients aged 20 to 95 years. It is specified that about 20 percent, that is, every fifth could not return to independent life. These patients had pain and neurological symptoms. Scientists emphasize that, despite improving the quality of medical care over the past year, it is also important to observe the written citizens who may suffer from long-term symptoms.

As the edition notes, some time ago, recovery from Coronavirus was considered a good indicator. Residents looked at the statistics in their state and saw there the number of recovered. However, as the author emphasizes, there are no common parameters for which complete recovery from the disease would be determined, since some people carry infection easily, while others are seriously ill for months.

In the study, it is indicated that 45 percent of patients after discharge lost mobility and ability to perform everyday actions: take a bath or dress. Another 20 percent had to move to relatives or to the hospital, as they could no longer care for themselves.

Earlier it was reported that half of the children who were overcoming COVID-19 remained at least one symptom of this disease for four months.
