Next 36 satellites of OneWeb are bred in orbit

On Friday, May 28, 2021, at 20:38:39 Moscow time, the ninth start with the Russian cosmodrome eastern and third centuries. The sequential separation of the nine groups of spacecraft from the Russian acceleration unit passed according to the laid fiber cyclogram. In total, during the mission for almost four hours, eleven active sections were provided: three inclusions of the marching motor installation (last – in order to deliver an acceleration unit to the so-called “orbit”) and eight inclusions of the motor installation of POPs required for the safe compartment and Differences of ONEWeb devices.

All satellites in normal mode are derived to target orbits and are taken under the management of the customer of this launch. After the completion of the breeding and separation of spacecraft, the Overclocking unit “Frigate” will be reduced from the near-earth orbit, and the non-aggravated elements flood in the non-heated part of the Pacific. This start has become the seventh as part of the OneWeb launcher.

Roskosmos State Corporation Means – Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket (Producer – Rocket and Space Center “Progress”, Samara) and an overclocking unit “Frigate” (Manufacturer – Scientific and Production Association of the S. A. Lavochkina, Khimki) – performed work in normal mode. Today’s launch of the OneWeb satellites is made within the framework of the Glavkosmos contracts (included in Roscosmos) with the European Supplier of the Arianespace launch services and Starsem company in close cooperation with the subsidiary organizations of Roskosmos – Progress RCC, NGOs of Lavochkina and the center of operation of ground-based space infrastructure.
