TESLA owners will pay 16 thousand dollars due to slow charging

The Norwegian Court ordered the TESLA manufacturer to pay MODEL S and Model X electrocarbers to 16 thousand dollars (1,175,558 rubles) due to slow charging at Supercharger stations. It is reported by the American edition ELECTREK.

After updating the software, the recharge began to occur more slowly.

“If there is no appeal, Tesla will have to pay 16 thousand dollars to each of the thousands of victim owners in the country. The penalty may be even more significant, since similar legal processes are under development in other countries,” the publication notes.

One of the owners of “Model S 85” 2014 released that he originally in one charge, his car could drive 247 miles (397 kilometers), but after the update on May 13 – only 217 miles (349 kilometers).

The company stated that one of the objectives of the update program was the battery protection and an increase in its service life. The problem touched only the “small percentage of owners”, assured the manufacturer of electrocars.

Earlier on the Russian educational Marathon “New Knowledge” American entrepreneur and founder of the company Tesla Ilon Mask stated that he wanted to build a plant for the production of electric vehicles in Russia. After that, with a proposal for construction, several governors applied to him.
