Russian authorities chose applicants for money from the National Welfare Fund (FNB), which is called the main Russian “Kubashka”. According to RBC, seven projects were previously chosen, a total of almost 900 billion rubles will send them.
Sources of the agency clarified that we are talking about the development of roads, railway tracks, updating the metro wagons and housing and public utilities. For example, the money can get a project for the development of the Baikal Amur Highway (BAM). Also in the list of potential recipients turned out to be the projects of M-12 Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod – Kazan and the high-speed route from Kazan to Yekaterinburg.
In addition, the money can also receive “Transmashholding” to update the metro wagons in St. Petersburg. Even among the applicants – the Fund for reforming housing and communal services and the project of the Ministry of Economic Development on the Development of the Angaro-Yenisei Macroregion.
Earlier it became known that Russian Railways appealed to the government and asked to finance the project for the construction of railway tracks from Yakutia from the FNB. It can spend about one hundred billion rubles.
In April, the volume of the FNB rose by 23 billion rubles. As of May 1, the volume of the FNB amounted to 13.825 trillion rubles, on April 1, there was 13,802 trillion rubles in the fund. The volume of the liquid part on May 1 amounted to 7.5 percent of GDP, or 8.661 trillion rubles (about $ 116.435 billion).
Fund funding is more profitable than to take loans in banks: it is provided at lower rates and for a longer period. Funds are allowed to invest in infrastructure projects, but only those that can pay off. The list of such projects has practically not changed since its appearance, in it, including the modernization of the Transsib and Bama.
