Russia “will not leave Belarus in the misfortune” in the light of external pressure to the republic. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with the newspaper “Arguments and Facts”.
“Russia, of course, will not leave Belarus in trouble. Always ready to help their neighbor and strategic ally. After all, the basis of our relationship – fraternal, and often family bonds, general history and spiritual values,” leads the word edition diplomat.
Lavrov appreciated the internal situation in the republic: according to him, it stabilized. “The emigrant opposition, despite unprecedented support from the outside, cannot be repent of the situation. Most citizens are tired of street riots, aware of their counterproductiveness,” the Foreign Minister, referring to the prospects for the possible mobilization of protests in August-September of the current year.
Earlier, on May 24, it was reported that the head of the Merfred Weber’s leading faction was called the incident with a forced landing in Minsk of the Ryanair aircraft “Act of state terrorism”.
On May 23, the airline of the Ryanair airline, following the route Athens – Vilnius, made an emergency landing in Minsk after reports of mining received from Minsk airport.
