Sber will launch a long-term car rental service for a period of six months to three years. The system will start working from Monday, May 24. This is stated in the company’s message, a copy of which is at the disposal of “Renta.ru”.
“Service allows clients to use a car without serious financial investments: for renting a new car, it is enough to pay for the first lease payment and make a small return insurance deposit,” the report says. Discovertictive access to drivers older than 21 years old with a driver’s experience of at least one year.
As RBC told the general director of Sberbank Leasing, Vyacheslav Spearov and the head of the Classified-industry “Sberbank” (including “Sweeping”) Oleg Maltsov, for 2021, the new service plans to attract up to three thousand customers. And by the 2025th plans to rent about 30 thousand cars and earn up to 25 billion rubles on this. By that time, the service should start working not only in millionic cities, but also in less major regions. Investments in the project are not disclosed.
Spirov explained that this service is for those who want to enjoy a new car and be able to change it before the expiration of the warranty period or after the appearance of new models. In general, the car market for subscription is new to Russia.
Earlier in May, it became known that the Sber began to issue short-term loans to wages to customers. The loan size can be from one to 30 thousand rubles. The cost of borrowing is not directly specified, but it is said that with a loan in the amount of 10 thousand rubles it will be possible to return 10170 rubles.
