Foreign ecosystems offered to restrict access to Russia

The Government wants to limit access to Russia to foreign ecosystems. Izvestia wrote about this with reference to the concept of the Cabinet of Ministers on the regulation of digital platforms.

According to the publication, allow foreign players to the domestic market “is assumed to be the presence of Russian suppliers of goods and services in them.” At the same time, Russian ecosystems, on the contrary, want to give various relaxation, including tax stimulation. Speeches about banning access to foreign digital platforms / ecosystems to the Russian market does not go, only about creating mutually beneficial conditions that do not allow discrimination of domestic companies.

The concept is explained that the development of domestic ecosystems corresponds to the interests of the state in the field of security – national platforms will not allow foreign companies to accumulate economic, sociological and demographic information. In addition, the provision of technological independence of Russia will make this market attractive for long-term investment.

On May 18, the deputy head of the Central Bank Sergey Shvetsov called on the small Russian companies to “bite the ecosystems of large holdings,” promoting new ideas, the new product quality, loving their consumer and thereby stupid development ahead. ” Also, according to him, the authorities of different countries should limit the presence in the national global players market, encouraging the development of local companies and services.

Earlier, the deputy head of the Ministry of Finance of Russia Alexei Moiseyev said that biometric leakage is “the worst thing that can happen.” He explained that if a person entrusted his biometric data ecosystem, and the system did not meet his trust, then a person in the digital future is broken. The official said that biometric data is impossible to change. The Deputy Department of the Ministry of Finance believes that the threat of leakage is too dangerous, and therefore it is necessary to pay more attention to safety.

In April, the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina said that the regulator develops new requirements for ecosystems that will have to make them more open, and access to platforms will receive competing suppliers of goods and services.
