Detained in Minsk Airlines of airline Ryanair continued flight

The Boeing 737-800 airliner of Ryanair, as far as Sunday, at the National Airport of Minsk, flew to Vilnius. This was reported by the press service of the airport.

The airline confirmed that the Belarusian authorities allowed the aircraft to fly together with passengers and crew after about five hours spent in Minsk.

May 23, the plane following the route Athens – Vilnius, made an urgent landing in Minsk after mining reports. On board the founder of the Telegram channel NEXTA Roman Protasevich was detained. The head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Layen called this incident unacceptable. Lithuanian President Gitanas Bested demanded to release Protasevich and called on NATO and the EU allies immediately respond to the “threat of international civil aviation on the part of the Belarusian regime.”
