Passenger flight of the airline Ryanair Athens – Vilnius, who has committed an emergency landing at Minsk airport after a mining report, described the reaction of the creator of the Telegram channel NEXTA Roman Protasevich. This became known to the Belarusian Radio Liberty service (included the Ministry of Justice in the register of organizations performing the functions of a foreign agent), the publication quotes the “Moscow Komsomolets”.
According to the passenger, by the time when the fighter of the Belarusian Air Force appeared next to the liner, there was no incident on board. “After a sudden maneuver of the aircraft, one guy began to panic, grabbed his head,” he told.
After landing, everyone was taken out of the aircraft and checked the manual sting. Protasevich managed to communicate with other passengers and tell who he was. According to the narrator, before it is taken, the creator of Nexta said: “Here the death penalty is waiting for me.” At the same time, there was a security shot next to him all the time.
On May 23, the airline Ryanair, who followed the route Athens – Vilnius, made an emergency landing in Minsk after mining reports. On board Roman Protasevich was detained.
Shortly after that, Protasevich’s colleague deleted his pages on Facebook and Instagram. They decided to eliminate the pages to protect the personal correspondence of the detainee from law enforcement agencies.
The NEXTA project covered the protests against the presidential elections in Belarus in August 2020, he was recognized as a foreign extremist organization and prohibited, and its creators Stepan Putilo and Roman Protasevich were listed in the list of persons involved in terrorist activities. They are accused of organizing mass riots, as well as in the actions aimed at the “initiation of social hostility” in relation to representatives of the authorities and security forces.
