President of Lithuania Gitanas Bested demanded to release the creator of the Telegram channel NEXTA Roman Protasevich, detained in Minsk. This was reported by his press service, TASS reports.
“Requires the immediate release of the detainee, so that he can continue the trip to Vilnius,” he said.
According to babes, Ryanair’s aircraft, on board which was Protasevich, was forced to emergency landing in Minsk “subordinate to the Belarusian regime of services.” He appealed to the Allies on NATO and the EU with a call to immediately respond to the “threat of international civil aviation on the part of the Belarusian regime.”
On May 23, the airline Ryanair, who followed the route Athens – Vilnius, made an emergency landing in Minsk after mining reports. On board Roman Protasevich was detained. He may threaten the death penalty.
