Fortune vessel continued to work on the laying of “Northern Flow-2” in the waters of Germany. This was reported by the DPA agency with reference to the NORD Stream 2 AG operator, TASS transmits.
As noted in Nord Stream 2 AG, “Fortune” works in accordance with the existing permissions and with the applications made by the authorities.
May 17 The German Federal Office for Shipping and Hydrography allowed to lay pipes for the “Northern Flow-2” on the seabed in the waters of the Federal Republic of Germany. We are talking about laying pipes on a two-kilometer segment in the German exceptional economic zone through vessels with an anchor positioning system, which, among other things, is equipped with “Fortune”.
The construction of “Northern Flow-2” was stopped in December 2019 due to Washington sanctions. In February 2021, Fortuna resumed the pipe gasket in Danish waters. Working on this site should be completed in April, and a fully gas pipeline will complete by the end of the year. Earlier, at least 18 European companies refused to cooperate with NORD Stream 2 AG.
