The Russian Strategic Bombarder-Rocket Sheet Tu-95ms still exceeds the analogues issued in the USA, despite its apparent obsolete design. The reason for this explained 19FortyFive.
As noted by the American edition, Tu-95 today is one of the oldest models in service with Russian air-space forces (VKS), and the only screw bomber in the world, which is still actively used by the army. His design was developed by Soviet engineers back in the 1950s, during the Cold War, however, in 1981, the USSR launched the overproduction of this model, since the available versions were not suitable for deep modernization.
As a result, Russian bombers turned out to be significantly new than American analogues. In addition, during the modernization of Tu-95, it was possible to transfer the latest winged Rockets X-101 – due to this, it remained a key element of the aviation component of the nuclear triad of Russia.
Earlier in May, it became known that the United States Air Force (Air Force) divisions are seriously loaded due to the frequent flights of Russian Tu-95 off the coast of Alaska. It was noted that in five years the number of interceptions of Russian aircraft near the coast of Alaska increased six times: from 10 in 2015 to 60 in 2020.
