In the village of Ust-Luga, the Leningrad Region began construction of a complex for the processing of ethane-containing gas (KPEG). This is a joint megaproekt Gazprom and RusGazdobychi. It will become a unique cluster in the world, uniting the gas processing, gas chemistry and liquefaction of natural gas, the Gazprom says, to which RIA Novosti refers.
The head of the “Gazprom” Alexey Miller, CEO of RusGazdobychi Konstantin Makhov and Vice-Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak, took part in the construction ceremony of construction.
Project financing for a long time remained. For example, the head of VEB.RF, Igor Shuvalov, in May last year, did not exclude that it would be paid to citizens through collective investment funds.
Later, in August, to finance the construction of the complex offered to Chinese investors. The project was presented at a meeting of the Working Group of the Intergovernmental Commission on Investment Cooperation of Russia and China.
The total cost of the project, according to preliminary estimates, reaches 2.4 trillion rubles, which should invest in equal shares to “Gazprom” and “RusGazdobycha”. It is assumed that the complex will allow Gazprom to withstand competition in the European market if for various reasons pipeline supplies will be reduced.
