Plane of former Romanian leader Ceausescu put on auction

In Romania, an airplane was put in Romania to the auction, which was transporting the former leader of the country Nicolae Ceausescu, reports CNN.

The starting price of the ROMBAC aircraft – 25 thousand euros. The auction will be held on May 27th. At the same time, the aircraft due to its rarity is recognized as a treasure of national cultural heritage, and new owners will not be able to fly out of the country, being also obliged to contain it accordingly. Two such aircraft will be displayed at the auction. The second of them transported the ex-president of Romania Ion Iliec, who came to power after the overthrow of Ceausescu.

119-seater ROMBAC 1-11 was used for Official Flights Ceausescu from 1986 to 1989. It was built in Romania under the license of the British aircraft enterprise in the 1980s, due to which the country became the first socialist state after the USSR, which was built a passenger aircraft. Its Rolls-Royce engines were also licensed at local plants.

Nicolae Ceausescu in different status led Romania from 1965 to 1989, his rule ended with the state coup. Ceausescu tried to run, but was captured, devoted to the Tribunal and shot with his wife.
