“The shortage of red caviar in the Russian market is not expected, since the upcoming salmon Putin of 2021, which will begin on June 1, will allow the market with a sufficient reserve of fresh caviar of the Pacific salmon,” said Russian.
Earlier, RBC reported with reference to Rosstat’s data that the prices of red caviar increased significantly over the past year. One kilogram of salmon caviar went up by 30 percent.
In April, the price amounted to 4.7 thousand rubles – this is an absolute record at least since 2011. It is noted that caviar continuously becomes more expensive since June last year. For the first time, she overcame a four thousand rubles in November 2020.
