Issue AntiX 19.4, distribution for outdated equipment

Live Live Live-Distribution Release AntiX 19.4 , built on the Debian batch database and focused on outdated equipment. The release is based on the Debian 10 packet base (buster), but comes without system manager SystemD and with Eudev instead of UDEV. For initialization, RUNIT or SYSVINIT can be used. The default user environment is formed using the ICEWM window manager, but the choice also offers Fluxbox, JWM and HERBSTLUFTWM. Midnight Commander, Spacefm and Rox-Fileer are available for working with files. Distribution is operational on systems with 256 MB of RAM. The size of ISO images : 1.3 GB (full, includes LibreOffice), 728 MB ( Basic), 415 MB (without graphs) and 176 MB (installation over the network). Assembly prepared for architectures x86_64 and i386.

In the new release

  • Added additional settings in the installer. In Frugal Install (loading by analogy with LiveCD to save resources) added support for encrypted sections.
  • The composition of the full and base assembly is added Browser Seamonkey. Firefox updated to release 78.10.0SR.

  • The size of the basic image is reduced so that it fits on the CD (ISO-Snapshot (GUI) is replaced with an ISO-Snashot-CLI, Package Installer, SMTube and VirtualBox-Guest) are removed.
