Lavrov joked about meeting of Biden and Putin

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov joke answered the question of a possible meeting of US President Joe Bayden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin after negotiations with the State Secretary of Anthony Blinken. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

The head of the Foreign Ministry asked if Moscow agreed to meet the heads of state. “We are not customs to give good,” Lavrov said. He added that following the meeting with Blinken, leaders of Russia and the United States will be presented, according to the results of which decisions will be made to normalize relations between countries.

Earlier, Biden expressed the hope that he could meet with Vladimir Putin in June 2021 in the territory of a neutral country. The head of the American state is planning negotiations with the Russian leader during their trip to Europe for NATO summits on June 14 in Brussels and “Big Seven” from June 11 to 13 in the UK.

The source in the Russian government agencies said that the summit of two presidents can take place in Switzerland. Moscow has not yet given an unequivocal answer to the meeting, but in case of consent, it is likely to be organized in the Swiss territory.
