European Union extended sanctions against Russian citizens

The Council of the European Union extended sanctions against the European Union threatening and its member countries for one year, until May 18, 2022. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

Framework mechanism, allowing to apply restrictive measures, against those responsible for kiberataki was approved in the EU on May 17, 2019. The list of those against whom sanctions were introduced include citizens of Russia, China and North Korea, as well as organizations from these countries.

Restrictive measures imply a ban on travel persons in the EU and freezing of assets. In addition, to the physical and legal entities of the European Union is prohibited from providing funds to those involved in the list. In total, the sanctions currently act against eight citizens of various countries and four organizations.
