Tele2 mobile operator will place 2 thousand base stations LTE-1800 at the “Russian television and broadcasting network” facilities (RTRS). Rostelecom will ensure the construction of a transport network mainly by fiber optic communication lines. Thanks to the project in remote and incomparable items, high-speed mobile Internet will appear and sustainable voice communication. Tele2 and RTPs identified a list of 500 sites that will be installed until the end of 2021. The project involves connecting to a network of socially significant objects (NWO) – educational institutions, medical and obstetric items, fire units within the framework of the National Program “Digital Economics of the Russian Federation”.
Tele2 began to build and plans to complete the installation work of the first 500 base stations in 55 regions of Russia with ahead of the plan until July 2021. The project involves the installation of 500 facilities annually – in just four years there will be 2012 base stations. They will use the Radio Frequency Range of 2,300-2,400 Meghertz, which guarantees high Mobile Internet speed in the conditions of the main spectrum.
Quarter of RTP objects, namely, 534 included in the project will be placed in the fields of the complete lack of coating of communication of all operators. Therefore, these territories will receive not only the basic services of mobile communications, but high-tech digital services. The rest of the project is focused on expanding the coverage and the appearance in the locations of new operators, which contributes to the development of competition and improving the quality of the client service.

Rostelecom with the participation of Tele2 in April 2021 began the second stage of the project to eliminate digital inequality and construction on the village of Basic Mobile Stations. The UCN 2.0 project includes the organization of LTE networks in small settlements (from 100 to 500 people). Until the end of 2021, high-speed Internet will appear in 1 198 Russian settlements, villages and villages.
