USA may take ten years to create a rocket similar to the Russian hypersonic “zircon”, said RIA Novosti Chairman of the All-Russian Movement of Fleet Support (DFF) Captain 1 rank Mikhail Neshev.
According to him, these rockets, called the commentator “Agent of the XXI century”, “know how to beat terrestrial targets and are able to destroy NATO objects in Norway or Alaska.”
The Chairman of the DFT added that the question of the adaptation of the “Zircon” for rocket-bearing aviation is currently being worked out.
In February, the Agency, referring to the source in the defense and industrial complex, reported that this year the Zircon’s hypersonic missile is planned to be applied from the nuclear submarine (APD) of the K-560 “Severodvinsk” project 885 “ash.” / P>
In December 2020, the Russian Defense Ministry published on Youtube a roller with a launch of a hypersonic missile “Zirkon”, implemented from the edge of the “Admiral pots” of the project of 22350. The corresponding test start was conducted from the water area of the White Sea for the purpose at the Polygon of Chija in the Arkhangelsk region. The rocket developed the speed of eight Mach numbers and struck the coast target at a distance of 350 kilometers.
