It is determined a way to prevent death from Covid-19

Scientists of the University of Toronto in Canada determined that physical activity can be a way to prevent death from coronavirus. This is reported in an article published in Plos One magazine. Briefly about the study describes the press release on MedicalXpress.

Specialists analyzed data on 2690 people aged from 49 to 80 years, which were divided into age groups covering 10 years. Within each group, the 20th percentile, participants were associated with the lowest level of physical training, 40-80th percentile – with moderate physical activity, and above the 80th percentile – with activity above average. Although even light exercises can benefit, scientists recommend cardio-intensive workouts.

It is known that athletes are infected with coronavirus and even sometimes have heavy symptoms. According to experts, this is due to severe physical stress during exhausting training, which reduces the activity of the immune system.

The World Health Organization recently doubled the recommended norms of physical activity. Now experts advise paying 300 minutes training (about five hours) instead of 150 minutes a week.
