The specified problem may indicate such a detail as “fat tubercles” on the face, known as xanthomas. They are located in the age of the eyelids and grow during a couple of months.
Another symptom of elevated cholesterol, as scientists believe, are grayish-white rings around the cornea of the eye, which doctors call the corneal arc.
The publication notes that the listed symptoms may, among other things, talk about hypercholesterolemia – the hereditary factor when the liver is poorly splits excess cholesterol.
Specialists indicate that there are a number of factors affecting cholesterol. So, it grows with an excessive use of products with a high content of saturated fats, with a lack of physical activity, smoking, alcohol abuse.
