Paris police dispersed with water a demonstration in support of Palestine. A few dozen people took part in the manifestation. This is reported by TASS.
Police arrived at the place of the action before it began. “Our strategy is quite clear – immediate prevention of the demonstration,” said the prefect of the Paris police Didier Laman. More than four thousand police officers are now being followed in order in the city.
During the day earlier, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of France Gerald Darmanen banned the campaign. He recalled the demonstrations in 2014 in 2014.
Decision to prohibit the action supported the administrative court of Paris and the deputy of the French parliament, the leader of the “National Association” Marin Le Pen.
In Marseille, Strasbourg and Lyon, similar demonstrations were held, but the authorities did not consider them illegal.
