State Duma Deputy Ivan Sukharev proposed to introduce a new annual allowance for pensioners. According to the legislator, these funds will go to the purchase of individual protective equipment for the elderly Russians, reports RT.
It is noted that the deputy sent a letter with an appropriate initiative to the head of the Ministry of Labor and the Society of Anton Kotyakov. Sukharev noted in his letter that the coronavirus pandemic showed the importance of using the protection and prevention of diseases.
He stressed that the issue of buying protective funds is most relevant for citizens’ retirement agents. At the same time, they may not have enough money for this cost of expenses. “In this regard, I ask you to evaluate the feasibility of introducing an annual one-time allowance in the amount of 10 thousand rubles paid on the eve of the autumn epidemiological season for those who have reached the retirement age,” the appeal says.
To stop attempts by misuse of funds, Sukharev offered to issue them in the form of certificates.
Previously, the State Duma deputies plan wanted to release non-working pensioners in Russia from the payment of tax on personal income (NDFL) from bank deposits. The corresponding bill was introduced to the lower chamber of parliament on April 19.
