United Nations Secretary General (UN) Anthony Guterrysh during an online conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed interest in expanding cooperation in three sphere. The organization’s press service is provided on the UN website.
“The Secretary-General expressed the interest of the UN in the deepening of cooperation with the Russian Federation on the three main areas of activity of the Organization: peace and security, sustainable development, including climate change and biodiversity, and human rights,” reports.
Guterry and Putin discussed a number of issues of international and regional character, as well as the need to resolve conflicts through political dialogue, mutual respect and understanding. They confirmed solidarity and cooperation in confronting the global challenges of the coronavirus pandemic and climate change.
UN Secretaryckers is located in Moscow on an official visit. Previously, he met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
