Russian authorities gathered to increase the production of high-quality gasoline on domestic oil refineries. The Government plans to consider the project for the development of the oil industry for the next 15 years. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, his words leads TASS.
Among the upcoming tasks is to increase the production of high-quality gasoline, kerosene and diesel fuel at least 30 percent by 2030.
Earlier in May, speaking in the State Duma, Mishoustin recognized that in 2020 there was a severe situation with fuel prices in the country. The head of government justified that prices have risen not higher than inflation and assured that the authorities keep the situation under control.
At the same time, the Ministry of Energy proposed to ban the export of gasoline from Russia for three months. The deputy head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service Vitaly Korolev called such a measure to be extreme. A similar position is also adhered to Vice-Prime Minister Alexander Novak. According to him, the ban on the export of petroleum products will be considered only if the situation in the domestic fuel market will be critical.
The cost of gasoline in the country has increased from the beginning of the year by 2.9 percent.
