Belarusian Health Minister Dmitry Pinevian called October 1, 2021 of the estimated date for the beginning of the mass production of the domestic vaccine from COVID-19, manufactured by Russian technology. He stated this in an interview with the publishing house “Sat. Belarus Today.”
According to him, now in the workshop, where all the components of the Belarusian drug will be manufactured, reconstructs. The technique of making vaccine will be transferred to the Ministry of Russian specialists in the near future. “That is, Russian colleagues will give us only technology, and all the components will be ours,” explained Pinevich.
He added that Minsk does not consider the possibility of purchasing American drugs from Coronavirus Pfizer and Moderna, as their effectiveness, though comparable to Russian vaccines, but the price is significantly different in the biggest. “To instill a million people, you need to spend 20 million dollars. Because the two components of the Vaccine Vaccination are $ 20. And imagine how many tools will go to buy drugs for 30, 60 dollars?” – noted the minister.
On May 7, the President of the Republic of Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarusian scientists managed to develop their own coronavirus vaccine. Previously, he mentioned that for its development, the country will have to “stand on the shoulders” of Russia.
Currently on the territory of Belarus, the Russian vaccine “Satellite V” is being processed. Monthly country produces up to 500 thousand doses of substance. In addition, Minsk agreed with Beijing on the supply of Chinese drug Vero Cell, until the end of May, the republic will receive 300 thousand doses. Total toast, the country’s Ministry of Health expects to instill at least four million people from COVID-19.
