WHO has declared exit of incidence of COVID-19 in world on plateau

The incidence of coronavirus and mortality from it in the world came to the plateau on an unacceptable high level, announced the general director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros by Adan Gebresus. It quotes TASS.

“At the global level, we are now seeing a plan to a plateau in terms of cases of COVID-19 disease and the number of deaths. However, it is unacceptable high plateau: over the past week they received reports of more than 5.4 million cases of disease and almost 90 thousand dead”, – said Greesus.

In April, the head of WHO stated that the situation with the proliferation of coronavirus would be taken under control in the coming months. “We have tools to take this pandemic under control for a few months, if we apply them consistently and balanced,” he explained.

According to the University of Jones Hopkins, since the beginning of the pandemic in the world recorded more than 158 million cases of coronavirus infection, over 32 million of them in the United States. Almost 3.3 million people died as a result of infection.
