A group of scientists from the National Institute of Cancer and Institute of Aging (USA) has disclosed that the daily achievement of the number of steps improves health and extends life. This is reported by Edition Express.
Specialists were watching the participants of the study over 40 years old. The first group took place per day four thousand steps, the second – eight thousand, and the third group overcame 12 thousand steps per day.
As a result, researchers have established the existence of the relationship between the number of steps covered and the life expectancy. It turned out that in the second group of participants in the experiment, the risk of death from all reasons decreased by 51 percent, and in the third – by 65 percent.
In April, scientists found out that the refusal to eat alcohol can extend life for 28 years. Swedish scientists from the Caroline Institute for 20 years have been observed for the health of the residents of Sweden, Denmark and Finland dependent on alcohol. It turned out that the mortality rate among people having a detrimental habit was higher than those among others.
