Belarusian authorities abandoned one-time payments to veterans of the Great Patriotic War in honor of Victory Day. This is reported by Tut.BY with reference to the statement of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the country.
The agency did not explain the reasons for refusing to help veterans, but noted that in previous years, material payments to the participants of the Great Patriotic Was were irregular.
In particular, funds in 2019 and 2021 were laid in connection with the anniversary dates, in 2018 the veterans of such assistance from the state did not receive.
previously became known that payments to the Russian veterans of the Great Patriotic War, dedicated to the Victory Day, were much less than in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Thus, in Russia, participants and disabled of the Great Patriotic War will receive a one-time assistance in the amount of 10 thousand rubles, whereas in Kazakhstan about 175 thousand rubles, and in Uzbekistan about 85 thousand.
