The government introduced a temporary ban on the export of buckwheat from Russia from June 5 to August 31, 2021. The corresponding ruling is posted on Tuesday, May 4, on the official portal of legal information.
“Install from June 5 to August 31, 2021, an inclusive is a temporary ban on the export of buckwheat buckwheat buckwheat buckwheat buckwheat,” is indicated in the document. The resolution explains that such measures are taken to ensure food security.
The Ministry of Agriculture was previously made by the Ministry of Agriculture. The department was told that the restriction of the export of this product was necessary to preserve the desired buckwheat volumes and buckwheat in the domestic market and prevent sharp price fluctuations.
In April, information about the possible increase in buckwheat prices and other cereals in the foreseeable future appeared in the media. Representatives of trading networks and suppliers reported that in February, suppliers began to overestimate purchasing prices by 7.5-15 percent.
Then the Ministry of Agriculture rejected the possibility of rising prices. “The current production of cereal crops make it possible to satisfy the demand of processing enterprises and fully ensure the needs of the population in the main types of croup,” said the ministry. Even in the department, they pointed to the record last year’s crop of major croup: rice, wheat and buckwheat.
