Economist Mikhail Khazin commented on the data that the middle class in Russia could be impoverished. He expressed his opinion in an interview with the radio station “says Moscow.”
According to him, there is no point in state support of the middle class. “In the framework of the destruction of the liberal and economic model, the transformation of the middle class in the poor is an inevitable process,” he said, noting that she was not enough for all money.
Khazin added that such a problem exists not only in Russia, but also in the countries of Europe and the United States. At the same time in Russia, it is observed in a lesser extent, since the middle class in the country is less.
Previously the rector of the Higher School of Economics (HSE) Yaroslav Kuzminov prejudice the deletence of the middle class in Russia. He explained that the state supported production and did not support mid-class representatives. This, in his opinion, is a “defect of our policy.” From this point of view, noted the rector of the HSE, the transition of middle class representatives into the category of the poor “is explosive”.
