In the Kaluga region, the final of the third season of the Retament Movement Return World Championship, held with the support of the Roscosmos State Corporation, started. During the week, the participants out of 30 teams aged 12 to 24 will implement their design work and perform the launches of hydropneumatic and solid fuel missiles based on the Aerodrome “Oreshkovo” at a height of up to 700 meters.
On the way to the final, each team designed and developed its own rocket design, including the payload and the rescue system. Total for the third season of the championship 57 teams declared, and the final reached more than 100 participants from Moscow, Dubna, Korolev, Kaluga, Blagoveshchensk, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, St. Petersburg, Nefteyugansk, Cheboksary and other cities of Russia.
Projects of the Championship participants are divided into 7 tracks:
- Water Rockets (First Stage) – the task of participants to develop a missile and program the electronic system of salvation from the designer based on Arduino IDE;
- water missiles (second level) – participants develop a starting device and a rocket flying to the maximum Height;
- Water rockets (third step) – Experienced participants create a two-step hydropneumatic missile flying at the maximum height;
- Solid fuel missiles (first step) – the team of participants is developing a rocket and electronic salvation system For a solid fuel rocket with a flight height to 200 meters, using the Arduino IDE-based designer and the engine with 100 N * C;
- Solid fuel rockets (second level) – participants independently develop a carrier rocket with an electronic rescue system, Without more than 200 meters with a payload;
- Solid fuel missiles (third stage), participants are developing a rocket with a satellite output system Cubesat ormatics when using the engine with a 300 H * C;
- Student track allows you to unite participants from several universities and start participating from the second step of any track.
Rocket building championship was organized by the Voltbro team with the support of Roskosmos State Corporation, Institute of Mechanics MSU named after M.V. Lomonosov, Faculty of Space Research MSU named after M.V. Lomonosov, the company “Education of the Future” and the educational project “Space flight”. It has been held since 2019, including several thematic tracks: “Water rockets are the first, the second and third stage”, “solid fuel rockets – the first, second and third stage,” “Student track” and the track “on the start”. Participants pass several stages of selection from the registration of commands to the final launches of missiles and protect their projects.
