China’s customs after the detection of the coronavirus on samples suspended the reception of products from a Russian vessel supplying fish into the country. This is reported by TASS.
As stated in the statement of the Chief Customs Department (GTU) of China, the relevant measures are applied to the Traller “Minister Ishkov”, carrying the products of the Russian fishing enterprise “Oceanrybflot”. Customs officers discovered the virus on eight packs of frozen sides, which were selectively withdrawn from the party as samples for verification. After that, GTU decided to suspend two weeks of receiving freight customs declarations from this company.
Earlier in March, Chinese Customs for the week refused to take imported declarations from three Russian seafood manufacturers due to the coronavirus detected on the external packaging.
Problems with fish supplies to China began at the end of last year. In December, due to the coronavirus, loaders were suspended service for foreign vessels in the port of Dalian, the last accessible to Russian courts.
Because of this, manufacturers have problems with places of fish storage. The governments of the Kamchatka even discussed with Japan the opportunity to use its capacity, although in Rosrybolovy, they indicated that it would cost on their own.
