The Ministry of Energy offered to prohibit the export of gasoline from Russia for three months. This is stated in the draft decree of the government. Such measures are taken to “prevent acceleration of price increases” on fuel.
For a temporary ban on export, automotive gasoline of all brands and light distillates are falling. The Ministry of Energy and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) are charged “to ensure the balance of fuel markets and preventing the acceleration of the rise in fuel prices” and follow the volume of production and supply of fuel to the domestic market.
On the coming restriction of exports previously wrote the newspaper Kommersant in April. The publication noted that gasoline is planning to make a list of goods that are significantly important for the domestic market, but in relation to them, temporary restrictions or prohibitions of exports can be established in exceptional cases.
Previously, the profile Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that in Russia they will restrain the rise in gasoline prices, namely, by introducing partial restrictions on exports. In turn, the deputy head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) Vitaly Korolev called such a measure of the foretone.
