Burning Man’s festival (“Burning Man”), which takes place in the Nevada State Desert, is canceled for the second year in a row due to coronavirus. This was reported by the organizers on their website.
They said that they were developed all possible scenarios for the festival in 2021, but due to the uncertainty and the lack of due time, they decided to cancel it this year and concentrate on preparations for the implementation in the next, 2022. It does not indicate whether a direct ban from the authorities to the organization.
The site emphasizes that all fans of the festival themselves can arrange their mini-festival, similar to Burning Man, following some principles. They called it “Guidelines for Cultural Survival.” In particular, fans recommend financially to support artists who create original art forms on Burning MAN, and this year you are going to do it at home, or organize on September 4 broadcasting your own organized Burn Night (“burning night”).
It is also noted that everyone can independently come to the desert in the place of the festival, create their own work of art and at the same time preserve the ecosystem clean.
Burning MAN has been held since 1991. The festival got its name in honor of burning a large wooden stuffed man. One of the slogans of the event is the maximum self-expression, civil liability and joint efforts to organize the holiday.
