on Thursday, April 29, 2021, Director General of Roskosmos State Corporation Dmitry Rogozin took part in the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kazan.
During the meeting, the head of Roskosmos presented a presentation on the prospects for cooperation of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the sphere of space services, making, in particular, the emphasis on the following areas:
- participation of EAEP countries in the development and production of spacecraft and their subsystems;
- Creating a unified orbital grouping of EAEU member states;
- Creating a unified subscriber equipment;
- Joint operator business for providing services;
- Development of personnel potential of EAEU countries in space activities.
Heads of Government of the EAEEC Member States listened to the presentation presented by the state corporation “Roscosmos” and expressed their willingness to enhance cooperation in the space sphere.
The Eurasian Economic Union is an international organization of economic integration, which includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The status of observer states have Moldova, Uzbekistan and Cuba.
