Apple updated iOS and added several new features to the iPhone. This follows from the update description in the brand smartphones settings.

However, in order for the new option to work, the user must have an Apple Watch watch that support the current WatchOS 7.4 update, and the phone with Face ID. When making a smartphone to face in a mask, iPhone using the camera will determine the protective accessory and send a request to the user’s clock. If Apple Watch is unlocked, Face ID will remove the iPhone lock.
In case the smartphone does not determine the mask on the face of the apparatus owner, it will try to scan a face via Face ID. If the phone does not recognize the owner, he will ask you to enter a digital password. To activate this feature, you need to go to the Face ID settings and translate the “Unlock with Apple Watch” slider into active position.
Refine that the new option only works when removing the lock from the smartphone. When buying applications or attempts to pay through Apple Pay Gadget will offer scan face ID or enter a digital password.

Rumors that the iPhone will be able to unlock through smart watches, appeared in February.
