On International Intellectual Property Day On April 26, 2021, Roskosmos State Corporation began the operation of the Waves Enterprise Blockchain-platform-based platform to identify violations on the Internet and traditional stores with respect to the means of individualization of the corporation and organizations of the Rocket and Space. The service is designed to attract a wide range of external professional participants – patent reports, patent attorneys, lawyers and simply caring citizens who can help copyright holders reduce the time and costs of identifying violations.
The public launch of the service is preceded by a period of testing, to which students and masters of legal specialties of leading universities are involved as users – MGU, MSTU. AD Bauman, SPBGEU, RGAIS, etc. Such testing will allow future specialists to obtain practical skills to work with real intellectual property objects of the rocket-space industry, and to service developers – to get feedback on the convenience of using the service and recommendations for improving it.
For identifying violations for which a sufficient amount of data will be recorded for subsequent forensic performance with violators, the smart contract of service will ensure the accrual of external remuneration performers in the form of tokens, which can then be exchanged for souvenirs with the symbolism of Roskosmos state corporation. and industry organizations, tickets to the Cosmonautics Museum and other forms of non-monetary motivation.
According to the results of the approbation in the state corporation “Roskosmos” service will be finalized – in addition to new functionality, integration is planned with the systems of Rospatent and the connection of banks for the possibility of paying remuneration in monetary form. In addition, any legal copyright owner of intellectual property facilities can be connected to the service.
