Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Minister) of Germany Haiko Maas warned against confrontation with Russia, noting that Berlin seeks to dialogue and good-neighborlings with Moscow. This was announced by the ARD television channel on the air, his words reported TASS.
“Not in our interests to join this confrontational hype. We strive for dialogue and good-neighborly relations with Russia,” the diplomat emphasized, calling the cores that require the introduction of new sanctions against Moscow, since such measures will not be useful in reality.
According to Maas, the relationship between Russia and the countries of the West is very bad, but should not remain so in the future. “In the end, no one can be interested in the constant provocations a serious conflict ever arose,” the Foreign Minister summed up.
Earlier in the White House, the results of the introduction of sanctions against Russia were evaluated. There noted that so far the results of their introduction are quite close to what they were calculated in Washington, planning to act in the sanctions proportionally and apply the target approach.
