Dodon accused Sandu in usurpation of power in Moldova

The leader of the Socialist Party Igor Dodon accused President of Moldavia Maya Sandu in the usurpation of power. He stated this in his video message, published on the official page in Facebook .

According to the former president, Sandu usurped power in Moldova in order to get more mandates in early parliamentary elections. He also noted that the last five months of the president’s efforts were aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country.

Earlier, President of Moldova made similar accusations against the country’s parliament and asked for help to force structures. She stated that he asked the General Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the actions of the parliament “through the aspect of attempts by the usurpation of state power.”

On April 15, the Constitutional Court of Moldova allowed Sanda to dissolve the parliament, who in three months could not appoint the government. The president called the deputies to the corrupt officials, which are impoverished by the country.

The Socialist Party, in turn, demanded Sanda’s resignation, accusing it in an anti-constitutional conspiracy.
