Sanda accused parliament in usurpation of power and asked for help to security forces

Moldova President Maya Sanda accused parliament in the usurpation of power and asked for help to strength structures. About this on Friday, April 23, TASS reports.

Sanda stated at the briefing that he asked the General Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the actions of the parliament “through the aspect of the attempt to the usurpation of state power.”

“asked the service and security service to take steps against an attempt to undermine the constitutional order and prevent possible destabilization in the country,” the president added.

On April 15, the Constitutional Court of Moldova allowed Sanda to dissolve the parliament, who in three months could not appoint the government. The president called the deputies to the corrupt officials who “deplete the country.”

The Socialist Party, in turn, demanded Sanda’s resignation, accusing it in an anti-constitutional conspiracy.
