Russia first refused to commercially launch satellite

Roscosmos for the first time refused to customer in the launch of the satellite due to the limiting load of production capacity. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the general director of the organization Dmitry Rogozin.

“When we suddenly had the opportunity to launch the spacecraft, we for the first time in recent years were forced to refuse to customer, because we have physically production facilities, they are at the limit,” Rogozin said.

It is noted that in 2021 for the “Union” missiles, an active launch program under the contract with OneWeb is scheduled. On April 26, a start-up with a cosmodrome “East” is scheduled, from there it will later pass two more launches, then four with “Baikonur”. The only commercial launch of the “Union” missile outside the program will be held eighth of December with cosmic tourists on board.

Earlier, Dmitry Rogozin said that the first (basic) module of the new Russian orbital station will be ready for launch in 2025. He called a rocket-space corporation (RSC) “Energy”, which “tasked in 2025 to ensure its readiness for launching on target orbit.”
