LeoCAD 21.03 released, a Lego-style model design environment

Published CAD release LeoCAD 03.21 , designed to create virtual models, assembled from parts in the style of Lego constructors. The program code is written in C ++ using the Qt framework and is distributed under the GPLv2 license. Ready assemblies generated for Linux (AppImage), macOS and Windows

The program combines a simple interface that allows beginners to quickly get up to speed with the process creating models, with a rich set of capabilities for advanced users, including tools for writing automation scripts and applying your own textures. LeoCAD is compatible with LDraw tools, can read and write projects in LDR and MPD formats, as well as load blocks from the LDraw library of about 10 thousand items to assemble.

In the new release:

  • Added support for drawing conditional lines , which are not always visible, but only from a certain viewing angle.
  • Added support for drawing high contrast part connectors and logos on the pins for connections.

  • Implemented an option to adjust the color of the edges.
  • Added new widget for find and replace.
  • Improved Bricklink xml export.
  • Added the ability to insert parts while keeping their original steps.
  • Added model measurement tools to the properties dialog.
  • Download of official details is provided prior to downloading of unofficial details.
  • Fixed issues with high pixel density screens on macOS.
