Russian “Terminator” tank support combat vehicles (BMPT) are being prepared for war, says the American magazine The National Interest.
The publication, referring to the Russian Ministry of Defense and the press, writes that the relevant exercises are taking place at a training ground near Chelyabinsk, where, in particular, the interaction of the T-72B3M and BMPT tanks is being worked out.
The magazine reminds that “Terminator” was developed taking into account the experience gained by the USSR (Russia) during the hostilities in Afghanistan and Chechnya. So, according to the publication, BMPT “is well suited for combat in tight narrow streets.”
In January, in the publication of the German edition of Stern, the Russian “Terminator” was called “an armored vehicle on steroids”.
In December 2020, the American magazine Popular Mechanics wrote that the Russian BMPT “Terminator” was recognized as “an undeniably terrifying, but unnecessary weapon”.
In April 2018, The National Interest wrote that The Terminator could be a hit in the export armored vehicle market.
