The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adanom Ghebreyesus complained about the underfunding of the international program to combat coronavirus. His words are reported by TASS.
According to Gebreyesus, ACT-Accelerator’s international partnership to provide access to diagnostics and drugs for coronavirus needs funding in the amount of $ 22.1 billion. “The longer this gap persists, the more difficult it is to understand,” he added.
The ACT-Accelerator International Partnership was launched on April 24, 2020 by WHO, the European Union, France and philanthropists Bill and Melinda Gates.
