Deputy Head of the Ministry of Energy Pavel Sorokin denied the possibility of a new fuel crisis in Russia, repeating the one that happened in 2018. Thus, he commented on the report of the Accounts Chamber, which promised a speedy rise in prices, RIA Novosti reports.
The official stressed that the laws adopted in the country should help overcome all difficulties. It is about providing investment incentives to companies and refineries. Thanks to these measures, the latter should invest more than 50 billion rubles in installations for deep oil refining, which will increase the production of gasoline.
According to Sorokin, wholesale gasoline prices have already begun to decline, and the government hopes that this trend will continue. Currently, oil companies fully satisfy the demand in the domestic market.
