The sister of the DPRK leader Kim Jong-un Kim Ye-jong advised the US administration from the very beginning not to do stupid things in order to sleep peacefully in the next four years. The statement by the deputy department of the Central Committee of the Korean Workers’ Party (KPK) was published in the North Korean Central Telegraph Agency (CTAC), RIA Novosti reports.
Kim Ye-jong strongly condemned the recent joint exercises of South Korea and the United States. She threatened that the DPRK, depending on the behavior of Seoul, may liquidate all departments responsible for the dialogue between the Koreas.
The representative of North Korea stressed that it will be very difficult to return to the same good relations as it was in the spring of 2018, regardless of how Seoul acts “at the behest of the owner”.
Earlier, the representative of the US State Department, Jalina Porter, spoke about several unsuccessful attempts by the American authorities to contact North Korea. Porter noted that the United States tried to contact the DPRK through several channels, including through New York, where the permanent mission of North Korea is located at the UN headquarters. According to her, this was done to “avoid escalation.” However, to date, the US administration has not received a response from the North Korean side, she concluded.
